The fight between Ponyboy and Darry. It was started when Ponyboy walks in the house at 2 o'clock in the morning. That was two hours later than the time Ponyboy was supposed to be home. Darry said he was about to call the cops. He was yelling at Ponyboy and Sodapop told him to stop. Darry yelled at Soda so Ponyboy yelled at Darry. Then Darry hit Ponyboy so he ran away with Johnny.

Describing Cherry. Well Cherry has red hair. Ponyboy says that she goes to school with him. Cherry is also on the cheer leading squad. Ponyboy thinks she is a little cocky. I think Cherry is drawn to the Greasers because she feels a little sorry and mad at the socs for jumping them. I think she is with Bob because she is a soc and can't be seen with a greaser in front of her parents or other socs. I think she could fall in love with Dally just because love has its ways.

What causes the fight between Darry and Ponyboy is how Ponyboy was out so late and Darry got really worried and slapped Ponyboy!!!!! Darry treats Ponyboy the way he does because he gets so worried about him and he wants him to be a perfect kid. But nobody is so he gets stressed at Ponyboy

I agree with you about that, but I also think that another reason why Cherry could fall in love with Dally is because, maybe, she likes the "bad boys" or whatever you want to call them. I mean, for example, she's going out with Bob. He's one of the guys that drinks, fights, probably does drugs. And then there's Dally. He fights, drinks, goes to jail, probably does drugs, and doesn't seem to be afraid of anything.

What causes the fight between Ponyboy and Darry is the fact that Pony was two hours past his curfew set at midnight. Darry was really mad because if Pony had been gone one more hour he would have called the police which would have made Pony and Soda go to a boy's home. When Pony said he didn't mean to, it made Darry even madder because he felt like all he heard come out of Pony was that he didn't mean to or that he didn't think. Then Soda stands up for Pony. When he did that, Darry yelled at Soda that he was sick of him sticking up for Pony. Pony told Darry not to yell at Soda, Darry slapped him, and so Pony ran away. He didn't want Darry to yell AND hit him.
ReplyDeleteI think Darry treats Pony the way he does because he wants Pony to stay smart. I think that he doesn't want Pony to turn out like Dally, or him for that matter, so he tries to make Pony think about his actions, and the consequences of those actions. I think that another part of it is that Darry is so pressured by work and trying to keep the family together that he has to take his anger out on someone and that someone just happens to be Pony.

The cause of the fight between Darry and Ponyboy was Ponyboy came home late. I think Darry is hard on Ponyboy because he's jealous of him, because he's the one who goes to school and is the smart one. Darry had to grow up fast and become the man of the house only when he's twenty. I think Darry just wants to see Ponyboy shine and have a good education and not have to suffer a beating from the Socs. Darry is just looking out for Ponyboy.

The fight between Ponyboy and Darry is caused because Ponyboy comes home really late and Darry is "worried sick" When really in the first place it wasn't Ponyboy's fault because he falls asleep and looses track of time. I think Darry treats Ponyboy the way he does because he is just trying to be protective, because if Ponyboy got in too much trouble the family would be split up. I think that Darry really likes Pony but he just doesn't want to show it
ReplyDeleteYa, I agree with you CK. I mean, it's sort of not fair that Cherry can't be seen with a greaser, but that brings up the question. Is one group better than the other?? Because in the book they are making it seem like the socs are better.

ReplyDeleteThe fight with Darry and Ponyboy started when Ponyboy got home two hours after he was supposed to. Darry started screaming and yelling at Ponyboy and of course Soda told him to stop. But unusually, Darry started yelling back at Soda and since Ponyboy is friends with Soda, he hit Darry and that just made things worse.

The fight between Ponyboy and Darry started when Ponyoy came home late. Darry was mad at him and started yelling and going cyco on Ponyboy. Soda then yelled at Darry for yelling and Ponyboy and then Darry stopped. Soda hit Darry and hat just made Darry more mad. I think Darry get so mad so easily because he doesn't want to lose his brother.
ReplyDeleteCherry is a Socs. She is a cheerleader and t the school that they all go to. She has red hair and is very gorgous. Cherry doesn't drink and hate being around people that do. I think that Cherry likes the greasers because they have more soft bones than the Socs, and they are more easy to talk to. I don't think that Cherry and Bob should continue dating because he drinks and I think Cherry is only dating him because he is a popular Socs. I think that Cherry will end up dating Darry because She cares very much about Darry and his family and she is very nice.

Darry got so worried that he called the police to see if Ponyboy was okay. Then Soda got involved in the fight and hit Darry. Darry got really mad because he didn't want to lose his brother because he loved him so much. I think Soda did the right thing when he came involved in the fight. If Soda did come in on the fight Darry could have done some pretty bad things to Ponyboy.

To some what Darry and Pony were fighting about might be something your parents would tell you. The thing Darry and Pony were fight about in chapter 3 was that Pony was not wearing a coat. Cherry is a Socs. She is pretty with red hair. Also she is a cheerleader at Ponyboy's school. I think she has good values since she doesn't drink and doesn't like being around people who drink, such as Bob. I think Cherry is attracted to Greasers because they are more emotional then Socs and Greasers don't always want things. She is probably with Bob because he is one of the more popular Socs. Cherry thinks she would be good with Dally because he has a bad boy image. She probably wants to have a different life then hers and thinks that he will give her that. She wants to get away from all of the stuck up people and all of the greed.

The fight between Darry and Ponyboy is caused by what time Ponyboy comes home. He was out two hours later then his curfew. He came home too late and scared Darry. Darry hit him because Sodapop stuck up for Ponyboy and then Ponyboy stuck up for Sodapop and Darry got mad. Imediately after he hit Ponyboy he regretted it. He probably didn't think before he did that. I think Darry did this because he just wants Ponyboy to turn perfect. He has a lot of rules for Ponyboy because he knows that Ponyboy is very smart and that he can succeed in life, and he wants to help him out as much as he can. I think Darry just wants Ponyboy to stay out of trouble.

ReplyDeleteSomw ways that I can describe Chery are that she has red hair and she is on of the Socs. Cherry is a cheerleader for the school that all the3 people in the Outsiders go to. Cherry doesn't like to hang around with people that drink beer because she is not the drinking kind. She doesn't hang out with the Socs as much as she does the greasers. The reason why she hangs out with the greasers more than she does with the Socs because the Socs always want something new to add to gang. The reason why I think she is with Bob is because he doesn't drink unlike the other boys do. She says that she could fall in love with Dally because she cares about all the actions he does to other people.

Well Cheery is a young pretty girl who is also pretty tough. I thinks it's the way the greasers act that draws her to them. I think she is going with Bob because her parents want her to be with another rich family so they made her go with him. I think she says she could go with Dally because they are both tough, and they act like each other, and she can stand up for herself.

The fight between Darry and Ponyboy starts because Ponyboy falls asleep in a lot and comes home at 2:00 AM when his curfew is midnight. Sodapop sticks up for Ponyboy and Darry turns on Soda. Ponyboy yells at Darry for yelling at Sodapop and then Darry slaps him. Ponyboy ends up running down the street with Darry yelling after him that he didn't mean it. I think Darry treats Ponyboy like this because he just wants him to turn out well and not be so influenced by the gang. Darry probably wants him to have the opportunity at a better future then he himself had. Ponyboy is the baby and I bet deep down inside, Darry loves him and is so afraid of losing him.

ReplyDeleteThe cause of Pony and Darry's fight was that Pony came home late and Darry was scared that he had gotten beat up. Darry was close to calling the police and if he had they would have taken Soda and Pony to a boys' house.
I think Darry is giving Pony a little tough love. He really does care about Pony and he doesn't want him to be taken away but Pony does some stupid things. Darry sees potential in Pony's life, he knows that with Pony's brains he could do things and go places.

Considering that if they get in trouble with the law they have to leave. Darry probably just wants them to be a family.

I think that Darry treats Ponyboy the way he does because really he does love him. He notices that he is one of the littlest in the gang and isn't the strongest, and that he needs to watch out for him. The reason he got mad at Ponyboy because Pony could have gotten in big trouble or could have gotten hurt, he stayed past his curfew and well he didn't tell darry where he was going.

Darry is very concerned for Pony because he is the smallest and youngest of the group. Darry likes Soda the way he does because he really does love him and he wants Soda to go back to school. He also wants Soda to get a better job than he has. I think that Darry is the big worry guy of the family.

ReplyDeleteThat is a good prediction. I thought the same way and I really thought that they would be together. I read ahead to the end of the book and I know what happens with their relationship. I will not tell what but, I will say I was disapointed in what I read. What else do you think will happen in the book? I would like to see the movie now that I finished the book.
